
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is a three volume epic fantasy series set in a mythological world called Middle-earth, created by J. R. R. Tolkien.
The Lord of the Rings series is a fantasy masterpiece that has become one of the most well known series in the genre and is widely referred to as one of the "greatest works of imaginative fiction".
There's not a fantasy fan alive who hasn't heard of it, or an author who hasn't used it as inspiration- in some form or another- for his or her own work .
The series follows the adventures of Frodo Baggins and the Fellowship of the Ring as they take on the quest of fighting their way to the Cracks of Doom to destroy the One Ring and save Middle-earth from the dark magic of Sauron.
