The best romance authors have the skill to write sensual, meaningful stories that not only draw you in but make you connect with the characters and ultimately fall in love with them.

They create an emotional connection between you and the characters, to the point where you become invested in what happens throughout the story. I love that while I'm reading a book by one of my favorite romance authors I experience emotion alongside the characters in the story.

When I crack the cover of a book I expect to laugh and cry with them, to fight alongside them against their enemies, fear for those that they love and fall in love right along with them.
