My thoughts on Lover Revealed...

I fell in love with Butch and Marissa from that first, wicked little taste of their scorching chemistry in the first Black Dagger Brotherhood book, Dark Lover.

Butch has always had a way with words that just cracks me up, and I felt emotionally connected to Marissa knowing what happened between her and Wrath.

And let me tell you, those few moments I read between the two of them in the end of Dark Lover blew my socks off. Since then, I'd been dying to read their book until the moment I cracked its cover. Unfortunately, it left me a bit disappointed.

I wanted that sizzle to be present throughout their entire story, and for me, it just wasn't as intense as I expected. But the story was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed it, just as much as previous books.

Butch and Marissa didn't get quite the time together as couples in previous books but there was plenty of action and Lesser slaying to make up for it.

As per usual, J.R. can make her secondary characters shine just as much as the primary characters, and in this case has outdone herself. At times I felt that the other characters in the book often captivated me more and overshadowed the time I spent with Butch and Marissa.

All in all this is a really great read, and I highly recommend it to Vampire Romance fans. If you haven't yet delved into the series, make sure you start from the beginning. Check out the first novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood: Dark Lover.
